A Tutoring Opportunity Near Your Home

Since 1985, North Coast Education Services (NCES) has been Northeast Ohio’s leader in private, in-home tutoring services.  We serve seven Northeast Ohio counties – Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Portage, Summit, Medina, and Lorain.  In addition, we serve students statewide through the state of Ohio’s Autism Scholarship Program and Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program.

Tutoring in All Subjects for All Ages

NCES provides tutoring to students of all ages, in all grades and subjects.  Some of our more common requests are for basic reading and math, high school math and science, and SAT and ACT test prep.  As an Ohio tutor, you can attend the annual NCES workshops in the fall to learn how to teach our award-winning reading curriculum, as well as our math program.

Create Your Own Schedule

Independent contractor tutors set their own schedule Monday through Sunday.  Many opportunities are available during the day.  There are also tutoring opportunities available in the late afternoon, the evening, and on the weekend.

Attend an NCES Tutor Information Session

In the summer and fall of each year, North Coast Education Services hosts a number of free information sessions.  These sessions are for prospective independent contractor tutors.  We explain about our company, the variety of services we provide, and present our tutoring opportunities for the upcoming school year.  There is no obligation to become a contractor following the session.

Opportunities for Licensed Teachers and Intervention Specialists

If you are an Ohio tutor or an Ohio teacher, there is an opportunity just for you!  We have multiple tutoring opportunities available for Ohio Department of Education (ODE) licensed teachers and for ODE licensed Intervention Specialists.  If you do not have a teaching license, you can still become an independent contractor tutor with NCES.
