Special Education for Ohio Students
Tutors meet with children and adults living everywhere from Cleveland to Canton, Ohio.
No Two Students Learn Exactly The Same Way
The entire NCES staff is particularly sensitive to children and adults with learning differences. We understand that no two students learn in exactly the same way. Part of the mission of North Coast Education Services is to personalize instruction to best suit the needs of the student. We tailor our learning to make it easy to understand, relatable, and – most of all – fun.
Our Richards Learning Systems ® program and Real Life Ma+h program are both extremely effective with learners who have autism, dyslexia, ADD/ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome, developmental delays and other learning disabilities. The tutors who teach these programs have completed advanced and specialized training in order to become certified.
Here are the services we provide to students with special needs:
- Autism Scholarship Program (ages 3 – 22)
- Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program (grade K – age 18)
- Academic Fun & Fitness Camp (ages 6 – 19), sponsored by the Creative Education Institute*
*We support and recommend the Academic Fun & Fitness Camp, which has been held annually since 2001. Although the special needs children in the camp enjoy learning, it is called an “un-school” camp. It combines learning with fun to produce exciting results. Camp counselors use special techniques to help the campers become engaged in learning, socializing, and playing together.
“North Coast Tutoring takes the time to understand your child’s educational needs and provide the right ‘fit’ in tutors.”
