Homeschooling for Ohio Students

Homeschooling for Ohio students in Cleveland, Mentor, Lakewood and other cities.

At North Coast Education Services, we believe that every child learns differently and that every child can learn.  Our goal is to present school material in a style that complements the individual learning style of each student.

When parents elect homeschooling for their child, the parent becomes the teacher.  Although many parents make excellent teachers, often they have not experience the learning process from the teacher’s perspective.  The role of NCES is to support the parent as a consultant, advisor, guide, or aide.

Tutors are available to help parents with many components, including:

  • School issues
  • Text selection
  • Curriculum support
  • Skills assessments
  • Time management

NCES will help design a program for each parent for each school year.  We can provide weekly sessions to teach difficult concepts, to help monitor and maintain progress, and to attend school conferences.  Year-end school reports and documentation are an integral part of the process.

High School Diploma Program

clonlaralogo_greenNCES will connect homeschool parents with Clonlara School, a global home education program based out of Michigan.  Clonlara is able to grant course credits and diplomas to students upon successful completion of graduation requirements.  We have been working with Clonlara School for several years and we are very proud of our longstanding relationship.

Workshops

To support the parent who struggles with reading and math instruction, we recommend attending one of our training workshops.  Held at our training center in Solon, our workshops can help parents teach their children how to read, write, and understand comprehension and computations.  Our multi-sensory, systematic programs have been proven effective in students of all ages, including adults and students with special needs.

Available Workshops:

Richards Learning Systems ®
Learn how to teach basic multi-sensory phonics, linguistics, reading comprehension, and writing skills.  Understand how to interpret ETR and IEP results.

Real Life Ma+h
Learn how to teach basic multi-sensory computations, math facts, place value, money, writing checks, and other daily math skills.
