Seeking ODE licensed teachers to tutor K – 12 students on home instruction. Immediate availability.

Minimum Requirements:
• Ohio Department of Education teaching credential or substitute licensure
• Current BCI and FBI background checks (or be willing to obtain both)
• Must be dependable, approachable and creative with high energy and enthusiasm
Daytime availability is required.

Tutor Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one tutoring to K – 12 students. Supply students with structure and boundaries while developing executive functioning skills. Seeking tutors experienced with all subjects:
• English/Language Arts
• History & Social Studies
• High Level Math (algebra I, II, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, functions and statistics)
• Sciences
• AP courses
• Electives

Tutoring will take place in the Beachwood area between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Times and locations vary by student.

Invoice Rate:
$20 – 25/hr. on an independent contractor basis, based on years of experience.

Seeking an ODE licensed intervention specialist to supervise a scholarship student.

Minimum Requirements:
• Ohio Department of Education Intervention Specialist teaching credential
• Current BCI and FBI background checks (or be willing to obtain both)
• Must be creative, flexible, sensitive, and dependable

Tutor Responsibilities:
Observe/report on an aide’s work with a student on the autism spectrum – two times a month. Write quarterly IEP progress reports. Supervision will take place after school at the student’s home near Bellaire/Wheeling, OH.

Invoice Rate:
$30/hr. on an independent contractor basis.

Seeking an ABA aide to work with a teen utilizing our scholarship programs.

Minimum Requirements:
• Completed at least two years of college
• Three professional references
• Current BCI and FBI background checks (or be willing to obtain both)
• Must be creative, flexible, sensitive, and dependable
• Experience with special education is preferred.
• Daytime availability.

Tutor Responsibilities:
Provide aide services to a teenager with a disability. You will receive training from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. 24 hours of weekly tutoring during the day. Tutoring will take place in the family home in Bellefontaine, OH.

Invoice Rate:
$14 – 16/hr. to start, on an independent contractor basis, commiserating with training and experience.

Seeking an ODE licensed teacher or Intervention Specialist who speaks Spanish to tutor a 2nd grader.

Minimum Requirements:
• Ohio Department of Education teacher or Intervention Specialist licensure
• Current BCI and FBI background checks (or be willing to obtain both)
• Must be fluent in Spanish

Tutor Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one tutoring to a developmentally delayed 2nd grader. Fluent Spanish conversation skills required as the mother does not speak English. 8 hours per week. Tutoring will take place in the family’s home on the west side of Cleveland.

The student is 8 year old boy on the autism spectrum. You will receive training from a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. 5 – 10 hours of tutoring per week during the day. Tutoring will take place in the family home in West Park, which is a neighborhood on the west side of Cleveland.

Seeking experienced tutors to provide ACT and SAT tutoring to high school students in Lake County (i.e. Willoughby, Eastlake, Mentor, Painesville, Perry). Referrals will be kept within a reasonable distance.

Minimum Requirements:
• Must have at least a four-year college degree
• Current BCI and FBI background checks (or be willing to obtain both)
• Must be dependable, approachable and creative with high energy and enthusiasm

Tutor Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one tutoring to high school students preparing to take the ACT and/or SAT exams. Must have experience preparing students for the exams(s) and a strong knowledge base of high school humanities, writing skills, and high school math and science. Licensed and substitute teachers are encouraged to apply.

Most ACT and SAT tutoring takes place after school hours, in the evening, or on the weekend. Specific days and times will vary by student. Tutoring may take place in the student’s home or at a nearby public location.

Seeking a tutor to help a college student complete a class in C Programming for Engineering Technology. No teaching licensure is required for this opportunity.

Minimum Requirements:
• Must have at least a four-year college degree
• Current BCI and FBI background checks (or be willing to obtain both)
• Must be proficient in C Programming (without needing to “brush up”)
• Must be creative, flexible and patient

Tutor Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one tutoring to a college student in “C Programming for Engineering Technology”. The student struggles with slow processing speed, so the tutor must be patient and flexible. No teaching licensure is required.

Up to two 90-minute sessions each week. The student would prefer to tutor on Monday and Wednesday evenings following his class (done at 4:30 pm), but has flexibility. Tutoring will most likely take place at Lakeland Community College or a local library. The tutor and the family will coordinate their schedules to confirm times and a location.

Course Description from the College:
This course introduces fundamental structured C programming concepts as applied to technical problem solving and hardware programming. Students will develop applications using branching, looping, disk input/output, arrays, pointers, operators, and structures. They will also develop, test, and debug hardware control and monitor applications in the laboratory. No previous programming experience is necessary.

Invoice Rate:
$25/hr. on an independent contractor basis.

Tutor Responsibilities:
The student is 8 year old boy on the autism spectrum. You will receive training in Natural Play TherapyTM and the Rapid Prompting MethodTM. Must be available 8 – 10 hours per week for at least 6 months. (Shifts will be 2 – 3 hours each.) Tutoring will take place in the family home in Reynoldsburg, OH.

Provide one-on-one tutoring a developmentally delayed 11th grader, utilizing NCES’s multi-sensory reading and math curriculum. 10 to 12 hours of tutoring per week during the day, beginning late August 2017.
Tutoring will take place in the family’s home in Monroeville, or at the Vermillion or Norwalk libraries.

Invoice Rate:
$19 – 21/hr., depending on licensure, on an independent contractor basis, based on years of experience.
