Tutoring services in Northeast Ohio, including Lake, Geauga, Medina and Cuyahoga counties.

In the summer and fall of each year, we host a number of free information sessions where we present the tutoring opportunities that will be available for the upcoming year.

Our 2017 information sessions are now over. Dates for our 2018 information sessions will be posted in the spring.

We are still seeking independent contractor tutors for referrals. Please consult our list below of available opportunities, or email us your resume.

Seeking ODE licensed teachers to tutor K – 12 students on home instruction.

Minimum Requirements:
• Ohio Department of Education teaching credential or substitute licensure
• Current BCI and FBI background checks (or be willing to obtain both)
• Must be dependable, approachable and creative with high energy and enthusiasm
Daytime availability is required.

Tutor Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one tutoring to K – 12 students. Supply students with structure and boundaries while developing executive functioning skills. Seeking tutors experienced with all subjects:
• English/Language Arts
• History & Social Studies
• High Level Math (algebra I, II, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, functions and statistics)
• Sciences
• AP courses
• Electives

Tutoring will take place in the Beachwood area between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Times and locations vary by student.

Invoice Rate:
$20 – 25/hr. on an independent contractor basis, based on years of experience.

Seeking an algebra tutor for an 8th grade student.

Minimum Requirements:
• At least a 4 year college degree
• Current BCI and FBI background checks (or be willing to obtain both)
• Must be creative, sensitive, flexible, and reliable

Tutor Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one tutoring to an 8th grade student. The tutor’s primary role will be reviewing homework, reteaching concepts as necessary, and creating study plans for the upcoming quizzes and tests.

Tutoring will take place once a week for an hour each. Tutoring will take place either at the Kirtland Library or Lakeland Community College Preferred times are Mondays after 3:30 pm and Tuesdays after 7:00 pm.

Invoice Rate:
$19/hr. on an independent contractor basis

Seeking experienced tutors to provide ACT and SAT tutoring to high school students in Lake County (i.e. Willoughby, Eastlake, Mentor, Painesville, Perry). Referrals will be kept within a reasonable distance.

Minimum Requirements:
• Must have at least a four-year college degree
• Current BCI and FBI background checks (or be willing to obtain both)
• Must be dependable, approachable and creative with high energy and enthusiasm

Tutor Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one tutoring to high school students preparing to take the ACT and/or SAT exams. Must have experience preparing students for the exams(s) and a strong knowledge base of high school humanities, writing skills, and high school math and science. Licensed and substitute teachers are encouraged to apply.

Most ACT and SAT tutoring takes place after school hours, in the evening, or on the weekend. Specific days and times will vary by student. Tutoring may take place in the student’s home or at a nearby public location.

Invoice Rate:
$20/hr. on an independent contractor basis.

Seeking experienced high school math tutors to assist area high school students in Lake County (i.e. Willoughby, Eastlake, Mentor, Painesville, Perry). Referrals will be kept within a reasonable distance.

Provide one-on-one tutoring to high school students taking high school math classes — including Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, Statistics, Functions, and all levels of Algebra. Licensed and substitute teachers are encouraged to apply.

Most tutoring takes place after school hours, in the evening, or on the weekend. Specific days and times will vary by student. Tutoring may take place in the student’s home or at a nearby public location.

Invoice Rate:
$19-21/hr., based on subject and student program, on an independent contractor basis.

Minimum Requirements:
• Ohio Department of Education licensed intervention specialist (Moderate/Severe licensure preferred)
• Current BCI and FBI background checks (or be willing to obtain both)
• Must be dependable, approachable and creative with high energy and enthusiasm
Daytime availability is required.

Tutor Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one tutoring to high school students with IEPs. Must be comfortable with high school subjects, as well as behavior support and techniques. Provide structure and boundaries while developing executive functioning skills. All tutoring is one-on-one. Referrals are available between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Tutoring will take place in the Shaker Heights area. Times and locations vary by student.

Provide one-on-one tutoring to high school students in AP math and AP science courses. Supply students with structure and boundaries while developing executive functioning skills. Must be familiar with AP coursework and structure.

Tutoring will take place in the Shaker Heights area between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm. Times and locations vary by student.
