“My son was able to go to camp just like the neighbors
and have stories to tell about being a kid.
He talked about camp even over the weekends.”

This unique camp is for children ages 6 to 19 with learning disabilities: ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, Asperger’s Syndrome, LD, etc.

Children with learning differences often become so frustrated by school experiences that they never realize learning can be a lot of fun.  Campers play and have fun while gaining new perspectives on learning and developing the social skills and self-esteem needed to be successful.

At this “un-school camp”, instructors and aides use games, multi-sensory techniques, and systematic instruction to improve basic reading and math skills.  Small group instruction and a personalized curriculum allow for strong academic success.  Additional activities include:

  • Theatre Arts week
  • Hands-on science activities
  • Pet therapy
  • Non-competitive sports:
    • Baseball
    • Basketball
    • Tennis
    • Karate
  • Music therapy
  • Art therapy
  • Camp Carnival
  • “Be Safe” Program for older campers – how to interact with the police (odd-numbered years)

Full- and half-day sessions are available.  (Full-day session includes lunch and two snacks.)  Before and after care is included in the cost of camp.
