Good morning, everyone! My name is Nikki and I am proud to be the new Director of Student Services for North Coast Education. While my primary job is to oversee our private clientele, one of my other duties is to keep up with this – our blog! I would like to take this opportunity to briefly introduce myself and describe the changes that will be coming to the North Coast Education blog.
Born and raised in Cleveland, I attended Heidelberg University in Tiffin, where I received B.A.’s in both Early Childhood Education and Communications & Theatre Arts. Shortly after graduation, I relocated from Ohio to sunny Orlando, Florida. I spent several years working for the Walt Disney Company, as well as working and volunteering for Give Kids The World – a non-profit organization which provides magical, cost-free vacations to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. I had the opportunity to work with people from all over the world, and also found time to teach after-school art classes and a highly regarded preschool drama program. After several years in Florida, I ultimately chose to move back home to Cleveland to be closer to my family. Now, back in Ohio, I have found a second home here with North Coast Education. I am delighted to be a part of this wonderful company and I am excited to help our families and our tutors.
Moving forward, the North Coast Education Services blog will continue to be not only informative, but educational and inspiring. Not only will we continue to feature the fantastic articles of our director — Carole Richards, but we will also post relevant information and stories for educators and families alike. We will be featuring some success stories from our clients, as well as highlighting some of our outstanding tutors. Be on the lookout for tips for a successful school year, information about special needs scholarships, free and low-cost events for the family in Family Fun Days, and educational news. We will also spotlight blogs that we are following and what is catching our interest in the world. Whether you are a parent, a tutor, a teacher, or an administrator, our goal is to keep you informed and we hope you will enjoy what you see.
