Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program

Applications Now Available for the 2016-2017 Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship

Attention Ohio parents!  If you are the parent of a child with a learning disability, you may qualify to receive funds toward your child’s education through the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship (JPSN).

What is the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship?

The Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship is available to school-aged children (ages K – 18) who have a diagnosed disability.  The program provides the opportunity for parents to choose education providers for the child’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP) other than the child’s public school district of residence.  The scholarship funds are used only to pay for services outlines on the child’s IEP.  Students cannot attend a public or charter school and also receive the scholarship.

North Coast Tutoring Services is an approved provider to the scholarship.

Since the inception of the JPSN scholarship in 2013, North Coast Tutoring Services (NCTS) has been providing services to eligible families.  All providers must be approved by the state of Ohio and meet specific requirements.

NCTS provides multiple services to JPSN families.

North Coast Tutoring Services can help you apply for the scholarship and answer questions about the program.  Individual academic plans are created for every JPSN student based on their IEP.  North Coast will help you select specially trained, qualified tutors to work with your student and will also submit all required paperwork to your local school district.
