Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program For Special Needs Children …

North Coast Tutoring Services is now an approved provider of the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship Program.  This scholarship provides up to $20,000 per special needs child each academic year.  

Eligibility

To qualify for funding through this program, a family must meet these requirements:

• Child has a current IEP (Individual Education Plan) with his/her school district;
• Child is of school age (grades K through 12);
• Family selects an APPROVED PROVIDER who applies to the program on the family’s behalf.  NCTS is now an approved provider.

Background

North Coast Tutoring has been providing services to children enrolled in the Autism Scholarship Program for 8 years since its inception.  In addition, North Coast Tutoring has been a provider of academic services to other special needs learners since its founding 27 years ago. 

Please note:  A child receiving services under the Autism Scholarship Program cannot also receive services under this new Peterson Scholarship program. 

To apply

Applications will be accepted through November 15, 2012 for the January 1, 2013/June 30, 2013 scholarship period.  As a new program, this provides parents with ample advanced notice to respond in time for 2013.
